About Us

Air Purifier Issues helps you fix air purifier problems and choose the right one, in plain English: noisy or smelly units, filter questions, and what these machines can and cannot do for the air in your home. We also publish buying guides for air purifiers and related products.

Who is behind the site

I’m Rakib Sarwar. I’m a graduate in Pharmacy and a registered pharmacist. I started my career at Delta Pharma Limited, where I spent three years as an Executive in the Product Management Department, before moving into banking and technology, where I have worked for fifteen years.

Coming from healthcare products, I know how easily a product’s claims can run ahead of the evidence. I started Air Purifier Issues to turn confusing specifications and marketing into guides a reader can act on. I am not an air quality engineer, and I don’t claim to run a testing lab. What I do is read the manufacturer manuals, official guidance and published research, and explain what they say.

What you can expect from us

  • Sources you can check. Important claims link to official sources such as the EPA, the American Lung Association and manufacturer manuals.
  • Dates you can trust. Models, filters and certifications change, so articles show a “last reviewed” date.
  • Honest product guides. We say how products were chosen. Our picks come from research into maker specifications and widely reviewed listings, not lab tests, and we say so. We don’t show prices or star ratings because they change; check the store page for current details.
  • Corrections. If we get something wrong, we fix it and tell you.

The details are in our Editorial Policy.

How the site is funded

Air Purifier Issues earns money from display advertising and from affiliate links, including the Amazon Associates program. This does not change what we recommend. See our Affiliate Disclaimer for the full explanation.

Important note

Our articles are for general information and are not medical or professional advice. An air purifier is not a treatment for any condition.
